Design Service’s and or Drawing / Material List Policy
Whether you submit drawings, a material list, or we do a cabinet drawing / design for you, the following design policy is applicable to you the cabinet purchaser.
All design / quote services are provided based on customer’s measurements and solely their responsibility. Carolina Cabinet Warehouse LLC holds no responsibility for incorrect cabinet sizes caused by improper measurements. This is why our return policy is so stern—to keep our prices so low. We are here to service your orders, but are not here to refund and restock the customer inaccuracies due to trial and error. All illustrations submitted for orders will be checked and drawn accordingly. It is then your responsibility to check the drawing and or list of cabinets against your project needs and verify all dimensions and sign off on drawing.
Tip: Use tape and lay your project out on the floor to make sure you’re getting what you want and that it fits before you order from anyone.
What if an item I order is out of stock?
Our industry is quite fast paced, and the availability of products changes constantly, sometimes for reasons beyond our control (such as a vendor discontinuing products). If our website displays an item as available, but we can’t fill the order, we’ll do everything we can to either find the product elsewhere or refund you immediately.
If an item is out of stock for any reason, we’ll send you an email with its backorder status. Carolina Cabinet Warehouse LLC will prepay all backorder shipping charges.
What type of warranty is offered?
Carolina Cabinet Warehouse offers a 10-year warranty period that our cabinetry is free of defects in material or workmanship. This warranty is limited to residential use, and to the original purchaser only. For example, if a builder purchases the cabinetry and then sells to a buyer, the builder is the purchaser.
Some restrictions to the warranty apply. For instance, natural aging or darkening of the wood color is not covered. Neither is the inherent growth of characteristics, or variation, in the wood. It does not apply to products or parts without a finish, wear and tear, damage or defects caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, or alteration.
This warranty does not apply to products or parts purchased without a finish. This warranty does not cover unsuitable installation, storage, or handling, wear and tear, or damage/defects caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, or alteration.
Through the extent permitted by law, this warranty does not cover special, incidental or consequential damages (such as labor expenses in uninstalling or installing any material or parts) whether arising out of breach of warranty, breach of contract, tort, or otherwise. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
If I have to replace a part under warranty, will I receive the original part?
Some replacement parts are subject to availability and may be different than those originally supplied.
How do I modify my order?
We process website orders as we receive them. To modify an order, you must contact us immediately and within 24 hours. Once we place your order into production, it’s already in transit and cannot be modified or cancelled.
How do I cancel my order?
You must email us within 24 hours of the purchase to cancel your order, and may be subject to a 40% restocking fee (shipping and transportation is not included in this cost) due to our fast delivery timeframes. Any order already shipped from the warehouse cannot be cancelled for any reason.
When can I expect my shipment to arrive?
Most orders arrive within 7–14 days from the date of purchase. Carolina Cabinet Warehouse LLC offers curb-side delivery only, and it automatically includes lift-gate service, meaning the driver will offload the shipment from the truck without your help curbside. Your will be responsible from curb / roadside to destination. Deliveries are made Monday through Friday, and must go to a physical street address. We do not delivery to PO boxes.
Do you offer free shipping on multi-unit orders?
When ordering cabinets for multiple units, please contact us for quote assistance. Carrier freight volume restrictions may make large, multi-unit orders ineligible for free shipping.
Why do you ask for my phone number?
The freight company will contact you to arrange a 4-hour window of time for delivery that is mutually convenient. These timeframes are Mon–Fri, 10–5 local time. If you miss your appointment, you will incur re-delivery charges, which are your sole responsibility as the customer. You may also be subject to daily storage fees from the carrier.
Can the delivery truck reach my address?
Generally, trucks can get to most residential addresses. However, some locations restrict commercial vehicle access. If the freight truck cannot get to your address for any reason, you must make arrangements to either meet the truck or get your shipment from the freight depot. Examples of places the truck cannot go include narrow lanes/alleys, islands, gated communities with truck restrictions, certain metropolitan areas, remote locations, or unpaved roads. If you have any questions about your location, contact Carolina Cabinet Warehouse before placing your order.
What is included in delivery charges from Carolina Cabinet Warehouse?
Delivery charges include surface shipment within the US contiguous 48 states only. They do not include surcharges, which are rarely but sometimes imposed on commercial vehicles in areas such as certain metropolitan areas, or locations only accessible by ferry. If you live in an area where surcharges or additional charges apply, you will be responsible for these charges and will be contacted prior to delivery for authorization.
What should I do when I receive my shipment?
We highly recommend you ask the driver to wait while you inspect your items, and to take pictures with your smart phone, camera or tablet to document the condition of the products.
You’ll receive a bill of lading, and it is your responsibility to check off each item before signing off on the delivery.
What if the driver won’t wait for me to inspect the shipment?
If the driver refuses to wait, please contact customer service at 800-481-0678, and note on your bill of lading that the driver refused to wait.
What if an item is missing from my shipment?
If at the time of delivery, you have any missing item(s) you must indicate this on the freight company’s bill of lading in order to process a claim. Missing item claims will not be honored if the specific missing item(s) was not indicated on the bill of lading at the time of delivery.
What if my items arrive visibly damaged?
Although we make every effort to ensure you receive undamaged items, sometimes on occasion conditions beyond our control may damage your items within your shipment. Document any visible signs of damage at the time of delivery directly on the freight company’s bill of lading.
Once you’ve documented and photographed any damages, please email it to us. For us to honor damage claims they must be made within 7 days of delivery. Carolina Cabinet Warehouse LLC will provide replacement parts/items, but is not responsible for reimbursing any additional labor costs incurred for repairing or replacing damaged items. We work as quickly as possible with the manufacturer to provide replacements, and you can usually expect them in 7–14 days.
What if I suspect items are damaged, but it’s not visible at delivery?
Although we make every effort to ensure you receive undamaged items, sometimes on occasion conditions beyond our control may damage your items within your shipment. If after unpacking your shipment you discover concealed damage or defective products, please email us within 7 days (the manufacturer may not honor claims received after 7 days). So that we can process a freight claim, please include:
- Delivery date
- Item(s) damaged
- Description of damage
- Photos of damage
Save the damaged/defective products, as you may be required to return them (we will provide paid return postage). Carolina Cabinet Warehouse LLC will provide replacement parts/items, but is not responsible for reimbursing any additional labor costs incurred for repairing or replacing damaged items. We work as quickly as possible with the manufacturer to provide replacements, and you can usually expect them in 7–14 days.
Why do my items look different in person than they do online?
A few factors may affect wood colors, including natural wood grain variations, your picture quality, and/or monitor resolution. We strongly recommend you purchase a sample to ensure the color matches what you desire.
How do I return items? What is your return policy?
We have different return periods based on the type of product ordered.
- Ready-To-Assemble Kitchen & Bathroom Cabinets —14 days of receipt
- Bathroom Vanities, Bathroom Furniture Vanities, Stainless Steel Hoods, Knobs & Pulls, Accessories, Bar Stools and Islands —7 days of receipt
- Custom made MDF doors / panels are non-returnable or refundable
Customer is responsible for return shipping costs to the manufacturer and a 40% restocking fee. Items must be in their original, unopened packaging and in good condition.
To process a claim, send us an email with:
- Order confirmation number
- Reason for return
- Specific SKU of the item you’re returning.
When we process this email we will send you a Return Authorization form. In order for you to receive credit for the return, you must complete and return it to us before shipping out the return. Please allow up to 7 days of receipt for the manufacturer to inspect all returned item(s) for damage. Once they verify everything is intact, you will receive your credit, minus the shipping and 40% restocking fees. (Please note that original shipping costs will not be refunded.)
Can I return assembled bathroom or kitchen cabinetry?
No, our manufacturers’ policies do not allow us to accept bathroom or kitchen cabinetry once assembled, and they cannot be returned for any reason. You must check all measurements prior to ordering so that you are assured you order the correct pieces.
