Drawer Face
This is the visible part of the drawer when closed and often contains the handle which enables easy access to the drawer box. A drawer face is always viewable and holds the feature such as a hardware which opens and closes the drawer. A drawer face is fastened to the drawer using dovetail joints or nails. Cabinetmakers design the drawer face to match the entire kitchen or bathroom style.
Some drawer faces are laminated or covered in a type of veneer while others are hardwood. Decorative hardware such as pulls and knobs can be added to drawer faces to beautify the drawers and make them easily accessible. Drawer faces can also be left bare; in this case, the drawer is accessed by pulling the face itself.
