End Shelf
This is a shelf installed at the end of a kitchen cabinet run to maximize the available space. There are basically two basic methods for constructing an end shelf. The first way is to attach separate shelves to the exterior end of a kitchen cabinet run. The other method is to make use of a free-standing manufactured piece which has a number of exposed shelves contained in a cut-way housing. The two methods of construction feature an end shelf.
However, the freestanding model is stronger since it is in the form of another cabinet and hence becomes a part of the room’s cabinet run. Incorporating separate shelves to an exposed cabinet end facilitate a more convenient customization, though an extra form of support which could disrupt the decoration of the entirecabinet scheme often needs to be included due to a level of deficiency in strength. Top cabinetry which is usually mounted on a dividing wall just like those often seen in apartments, is effectively suited to end shelves. Less conspicuous end shelves can be added to kitchen cabinet-run breaks especially around windows. The different shapes of end shelves allow homeowners to add an extra element of texture to the cabinets.
