Epoxy Coated Guide
Epoxy coated guides are metal guides with a special type of coating which helps to reduce or eliminate noise generated by metallic surfaces moving over each other. Epoxy coated guides are commonly used as concealed under mounts. Epoxy coating often looks like powder coating though both are different in several ways There is an extra need of heat energy application to anneal powder coating which makes it moreresource consuming and expensive than epoxy coating. An epoxy coated guide features an excellent finish which includes a degree of rubberized feeling to the device as a result of the resin present in the chemical composition of the epoxy.

Epoxy coating can be used on most metal materials to offer a finish to match the decoration of numerous projects. Epoxy coating prevents chaffing on the mobile regions of guides while efficiently silencing the processes of opening and closing drawers. The epoxy coating should never be exposed to direct sunlight as ultraviolet(UV) rays from the sun cause rapid deterioration of the coating; a process referred to as chalking out. Once the surface of an epoxy coating exhibits any degree of a loss of integrity, then a fast deterioration of the entire coat is unavoidable.
