Frameless Cabinets
Frameless cabinets are cabinets constructed without the inclusion of trim boards which enhances the ease with which the cabinets can be accessed. Frameless cabinets first became popular across Europe with the advent of hidden hinges which do not require any form of a frame for installation. Frameless cabinetry is the main design in use in many parts of Europe and Asia, but it hasn't gained as much popularity in the United States and other North American countries. The frameless cabinet style is the "go to" for homeowners who prefer modern kitchen styles.
The free access and absence of any visible hinges make this style of cabinets very practical. The production process can be very efficient which is why frameless cabinets are more appealing and preferred by manufacturers than framed cabinets. Frameless cabinets originated in Europe where homes were bought or rented without cabinets installed in kitchens and other rooms. Frameless cabinets are constructed using stronger materials and are often considered to be more durable than framed cabinets. Base cabinets which are frameless are often constructed with legs to reside on.
