Full Inset
A full-inset is a type of door which is entirely flush with the face frame of the kitchen cabinet when closed. This full inset eliminates any gap between the cabinet frame and the door. A full-inset door fits perfectly in the frame of the cabinet when closed. The door’s front is cut to precise measurements to ensure an adequate clearance of the installed door. When completed, a full-inset door needs to be flush with the cabinet's face frame to prevent any visible gaps.

The hardware used, such as nails and hinges should be hidden. Other hardware such as pulls and knobs can be installed to enable easy access to the storage space. Sliding doors may also called full-inset doors. Full-inset doors often leave a large portion of the cabinet or drawer exposed. Hence, the inner surface of these storage spaces should be painted, stained or sealed.
