Full Overlay
A full overlay refers to a type of cabinet door that covers the entire face frame of the cabinet. It allows a minimal gap ensuring that only a little portion of the storage area in the cabinet can be seen. A full overlay covers the opening of a cabinet's storage area. This form of cabinet or drawer front allows minimal gaps between the nearby openings to ensure only a modest part of the entire cabinet box can be seen between units.

The full overlay will rest on the opening of the cabinet when closed. This type of door doesn't interfere in any way with the interior storage space of cabinets unlike other door types such as the full-inset and half overlay. Full overlays are used on both framed and frameless cabinets. Cabinets that use a full overlay style are typical with five piece doors, however, paneled covering or flat wood are also available.
