Furniture board also called particle board, is a type of manufactured wood used in making cabinets and other types of furniture. Furniture boards are manufactured using resins and wood chips. Furniture board is often covered with a lacquer, laminate or veneer to increase its visual appeal since it lacks grains of any kind. Furniture board is not as strong as plywood and is less expensive.
