Natural Finish
A natural finish doesn't alter the natural wood color. It can also be used to enhance and protect the natural characteristics of the wood. A lot of natural finishes expose the color variations within the wood. Natural finishes are made using oils like mink oil, mineral oil, linseed oil and Tung oil. It is also possible to stain a sanded surface of the wood with a matching stain.
However, it is recommended to use water-based stains. Sanding and oiling can be repeated to produce an attractive natural finish and to preserve the surface of the wood. It is equally possible to obtain a natural finish after a dye, vanish or stain has been stripped off the wood surface.
