Plywood
Plywood is a type of manufacture wood used in construction projects. Though not as appealing as natural wood, plywood is commonly used in cabinet box construction especially in those parts of the cabinet that are not visible. Kerf cabinet system often uses plywood as a main cabinet construction material which is not painted or stained to incorporate a modern or contemporary industrial appeal. The strength of plywood is derived from the gluing together of several thin sheets of wood called veneers that are typically 1/8-inch or 3mm thick.

Rushing through the process of sawing cause the veneer to splinter. Using plywood for kitchen cabinet construction can help reduce cost and also maintain the integrity and strength of the project. Plywood has a strength comparable to natural wood and is more durable than other engineered wood materials.
