Recessed Panel Doors
A recessed panel door refers to a cabinet door which is slightly depressed. Thinner wood is often used for this type of door than the other alternatives. A recess This type of door features a center panel that is lower than the frame surrounding it. The panel needs to be thinner than the remaining parts of the door, and hence, it is often made from alternative materials. The panels are veneer while the remaining parts of the door are constructed using solid wood.

This ensures that the panel is thin enough to reside in the recessed portion without altering to appearance of the cabinet. Recessed panel doors can be purchased in different finishes and styles. They may feature square angles and arches, and the wooden panels can be replaced by metal or glass. Recessed panel doors often have an inclusion of a beveled trim to improve the decoration of the door. The drawer fronts are made with matching materials to promote uniformity in the entire kitchen design.
