Reverse Bevel
A reverse bevel is a type of cabinet door which requires no pulls or knobs to be opened. A cut angle at the top of the door allows it to be opened without the need for hardware. A reverse bevel offers a form of a finger hold on the doors of cabinets and drawers so that the cabinets require no knobs, pulls or handle to be opened. A bevel basically refers to an angle that isn't a square, meaning that both edges are not oriented in a perpendicular manner to each other.

This type of door offers the cabinets a flat and more uniform finished appearance. Reverse bevel is used to make invisible angles behind the cabinet faces and can also be used in trim work. Reverse bevels used on the edge of a door requires an extra hinge. The hinge to be used needs to match the bevel's angle to provide the appropriate appearance and function.
